Gail Voigt

Gail Voigt, age 78, of Phoenix, Arizona and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the morning of January 10, 2026.

Per Gail’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials in Gail’s name may be directed to her family for a later designation. Gail Annette Wilkens was born on June 22, 1947 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the middle of five children born to Wilmer and Mary (Harn) Wilkens. Gail attended school in Marshalltown, Iowa where she later graduated. She loved her work and loved her blue Peterbilt trucks. She was the proud mother to six children, Tammy, Stacy, Heidi, Deanne, Shelley and Craig. Over the years, she resided in Michigan, Texas and Arizona where she has resided over the past 30 years. In her younger years, she enjoyed working on crocheting and sewing projects for friends and family, listening to country music and cooking great meals for her family.

Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her children, Tammy DeSchamp, Stacy (Cheryl) Voigt, Heidi (Jeff) Steffens, Deanne (Paul) Sievers, Shelley Voigt and Craig Voigt; her grandchildren, Joey, Kelsey, Miranda, Lacey, Ashley, Monica, Douglas, Jake and Becca; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Karen (Tom) O’Connor, Leila Standfield and Shirley Vest amongst numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Mary Wilkens; sister, Cherish Paul and numerous aunts and uncles.
