Gaylon Gerald Wunn was born February 13, 1941 in Rural Gilman to parents Harold and Bessie (Curry) Wunn. He attended school in Gilman graduating from Gilman High School in 1960. He attended technical school in Omaha for mechanics following High School. On August 26, 1962, Gaylon was united in marriage to Sheryll Mitchell in Malcom, Iowa. Together they raised their children Brian and Lisa. He worked hard driving trucks for various companies over the years and helped the farmers in the Gilman community with the harvest in the fall. His last trucking job from where he retired in 2008 was for Walmart. Sheryll and Gaylon spent 41 years together until her passing in 2004. On August 16, 2008, Gaylon was united in marriage to Nancy McFarland (Kerr) at New Hope Christian Church. It was through their union that he gained three additional children, Wendy, Shane, and Ryan. In his free time, Gaylon spent many hours working around tractors. He restored 7 Oliver Tractors with his son, went on tractor rides, and always took his grandchildren and great-grandchildren for a ride no mater what time it was or what the weather was like outside. He enjoyed spending the fall in the combine, semi, or any kind of machinery that he could get his hands on. He was a man of strong faith and always put his family first. Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife of 14 years, Nancy Wunn; his children, Brian (Lisa) Wunn and Lisa Wunn; his step-children, Wendy (Warren) Gummert, Shane (Sandy) McFarland and Ryan (Tammy) McFarland; his grandchildren, Brandon (Alicia) Wunn, Nathan (Mickell) Wunn and Michela Wunn; his step-grandchildren, Joel Gummert, Joshua Gummert, Evan (Lacy) McFarland, Paige (Clinton) Levis, Heather Schmidt, Jordan Holle and Marshal (Amber) McFarland; his great-grandchildren, Emmy, Wyatt, Noah, Elly, Brinley, Lucas, Owen, Myles, Gavin and Graham; his siblings, Collette Beebe, Eldon (Christy) Wunn, Lonny (Linda) Wunn and Jeanine Lord; his sister-in-law Lynell Dougherty; alongside numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was reunited in Heaven with his first wife Sheryll; his parents Harold and Bessie Wunn; his mother and father-in-law Wilbur and Nellie Mitchell; his sister in infancy Gwendolyn; and his brothers-in-law Chuck Beebe, Phil Lord, and Gene Dougherty.
