Geneva Catron, 90, of Marshalltown, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at the Grandview Heights Care Center in Marshalltown. Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM with a public rosary service held at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 21, at 10:30 AM at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Following services, burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Memorial donations may be directed in Genevas name to the Iowa Hospice. (Sanders) Wille. She was raised in the Carroll, Iowa area where she attended high school. Following her education she was married to Richard B. Booth. Geneva and Richard traveled together throughout the country with his work as a heavy equipment operator. Richard passed away in 1944 and Geneva returned to Carroll, Iowa with her family where she worked as a waitress. It was during this time that Geneva met and married Russell Catron. Russell passed away in 1960. Geneva continued to reside in Marshalltown where she was employed by Smittys Coffee Shop, Fairway and the Hy-Vee Deli. Geneva enjoyed word searches and embroidering. Above all she was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed as a mother, grandmother, great-grand mother and great-great grandmother. She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church. Geneva is survived by her daughter Carol (David) Ewalt of Marshalltown, her son Jim (Debra) Booth of Fort Smith, Arkansas, her sister Edna Schleisman of Lake City, Iowa, her five grandchildren: Michael Booth of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Randy (Melanie) Ewalt of Marshalltown, Tim (Terri) Ewalt of Ankeny, Deb Walters of Marshalltown, Brian (Elke) Ewalt of Marshalltown, her eight great-grandchildren: Trent Ewalt, Tara (Derek) Bodin, Tia Ewalt, Ashley Ewalt, Austin Ewalt, Lindsay Walters, Cody Walters, Megan Ewalt, her three great-great grandchildren: Cameron Lanfier, Kael Bodin, and Lillie Geneva Bodin. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Richard and Russell, a son John in infancy, and her brothers Bill and Ed.
