Geneva Shockley

Geneva Shockley, 66, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on August 21, 2026 under the care of hospice.

Geneva was born on January 29, 1960 to Lonnie Shockley Sr. and Ernestine Shockley. She attended school in her hometown of Cotton Plant, Arkansas.

Geneva was a full-time mother to her two sons, Jesse James Shockley and Darelle Shockley. She worked various jobs in Arkansas before moving to Marshalltown in 2003. In her free time, Geneva enjoyed spending time with her family, taking trips to the casino, watching TV programs and listening to Gospel Music. Geneva was known to be a strong Christian Woman and loved sharing her faith with others.

Geneva is survived by her siblings, Lonnie Shockley, Melvin (Maryann) Shockley, Robert Shockley, Sylvester Shockley and Dorthan Chun; her two sons, Jesse (Kerri) Shockley and Darelle Shockley as well as many grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Leonard Shockley and Frank Shockley and Willa Mae Shockley.
