Genevieve Wolgamott

Genevieve Wolgamott, 87, of Marshalltown, passed away March 18, 2012. Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Private family graveside will follow the visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Marshalltown Senior Citizen Center. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Genevieve and her family Genevieve Ann Petermeier was born July 2, 1924 in Melbourne, IA; she was the daughter of William and Grace (McIlrath) Petermeier. Genevieve attended and then graduated from the Melbourne High School. She then later attended the American Institute of Business College (AIB) in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Wayne Wolgamott in Laurel, IA on December 31, 1943. Genevieve enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, playing cards (especially Bridge), and watching basketball. She is survived by her children: Jayne (Merle) Conkin of Fernandina Beach, FL, Robert Wolgamott of Melbourne, IA, and Mark Wolgamott of Melbourne, IA; her grandchildren: Jennifer Carroll, Jodi Simpkins, Gena Wolgamott, Alex Wolgamott, and Will Wolgamott; and her five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
