Genevieve (Genny) Case, 76, died Saturday, December 15, 2012, at her home in Marshalltown, Iowa. A celebration of Gennys life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 20 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation for Genny will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m., at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends. Genevieve (Genny) Case was born August 16, 1936 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of John C. Wardman and Leonora (Snyder) Wardman. Genny grew up and was educated in the Albion school district graduating from Albion High School. She was united in marriage to Floyd Case in August 20, 1962, in Ashton, Illinois. Genny was employed with the Piggly Wiggly, Seberg Pharmacy, as well as volunteering in the Texas school systems. She was a member of the Albion Presbyterian church, a member of the choir as well as the Marietta club. Gennys hobbies and interest included her family, Swedish weaving, family history including genealogy history, crafts, camping, photos, gardening and wintering in Texas. She especially enjoyed feeding and watching birds. Genny will be greatly remembered for taking the extra step for everyone.She is survived by her husband, Floyd Case; her children: Duane (Dena) Farland and Roberta (Alan) Savage; grandchildren: Megan Needs, Angela Farland, Coty Savage, Tim Savage, Sarah Neuroth, Aaron (Laura) Neuroth; great-grandchildren: Jonathan Needs, Jadon Neuroth, Sophia Neuroth; and her sister and brother; Helen Bailey, John (Brenda) Wardman; also many other family members that meant the world to her.Preceeded in death by her parents.
