George Rowley

George Rowley, 77, of Toledo formerly of Marshalltown passed away on August 3, 2019 at Unity Point Marshalltown with his family by his side.    At this time cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for George and his family.    George Edward Rowley was born on June 5, 1942 to parents Clarence and Florence Rowley in Jewel, Iowa. He attended school up until 8th grade. In 1961 he was united to his first wife Birdella Rowley. He was later re married to his second wife Jackie Sheffer. Together they raised seven children. He was a long-time resident of Marshalltown until moving to Toledo in 1994. He worked for Meskwaki Bingo and Casino. In his free time George enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, playing games on the computer, watching western movies, and spending time with his family.    Left to cherish his memory are his children Allen Rowley, Danny Rowley, Sherry McGrew, Tammy Rutherford, George Rowley Cumming, Dwayne Rowley, Jason Rowley, Kimberly Rowley; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings Patricia Greene, Betty Brammer and Helen Rowley.    In death, George rejoins his wife Birdella who passed away in 2010 and wife Jackie Cumming who recently passed; his parents Clarence and Florence.
