Gerald Oetker

Gerald Jerry Oetker, 70, of Marshalltown, died February 22, 2008 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at St. Marys Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Haverhill. He graduated from St. Marys High School of Marshalltown in 1954. He served honorably in the United States Army. Jerry was employed at Lennox and later E&F Printing, where he retired from. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, and enjoyed baseball, bowling, and fast pitch softball. Left to celebrate his life are his siblings: Donald (Kathy) Oetker and Kenneth (Reta) Oetker; nephews: Joel and Kyle Oetker and Jeff and Tim Walker; nieces: Jackie Oetker, Angela Bove, Cindy Steingrabe and Dawn Brunetti. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen Oetker and nephew Gary Walker.
