Gerald Jerry F. Walker, 73, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. A private family burial will be held at a later date. He was the son of Earl and Berneice Walker. At an early age, the family moved to Ireton, Iowa, and later to Conrad, where Jerry graduated from Conrad High School in 1952. Jerry was employed at Watkins Body Shop in Conrad for a number of years. Later, he was an employee of Fisher Controls in Marshalltown. He retired in April of 1992 after 23 years of employment. Survivors include a brother, Grover (Florence) Walker of Jewell, two sisters, Jeanne Smith of Marshalltown, and Virginia (Elmer) Nelson of Manchester, Iowa. Jerry is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In death, he has rejoined his parents.
