Geraldine Grace Jensen, 90, gained her Angel Wings on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Geraldine Grace Geddes was born on March 28, 1926, in Des Moines, Iowa; she was the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Lewis) Geddes. She attended school in the Lamoille School District graduating with the Class of 1943. While in high school she was very proud to play basketball and be in the marching band that made it to state. After graduation she attended nursing school at the Deaconess Nursing School in Marshalltown. On April 19, 1946, Geraldine was united in marriage to Alvin Jensen at the Lamoille Congregational Church. They had lived in the Marshalltown area their entire married lives. Geraldine was a homemaker and loved her garden, flowers, quilting, and was a great seamstress and cook, but above all she loved the Lord. Her love and kindness was shown thru everything she did, especially her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Lyle (Kathryn) Jensen of Prole, Iowa, Lynn (Connie) Jensen of Marshalltown, Iowa and Beth (Gary) Ballard of Marshalltown, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Rodney (Kathy) Geddes of Grand Junction, Colorado. In death she rejoins her parents, her husband, Alvin, and brother, Russell Geddes.
