Gilbert Rusty Strait, 62, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on December 26, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. There will be no services at this time. Gilbert Russell Straight was born on December 18, 1954 in Kirksville Missouri; he was the son of Standley and Geneva (Sizemore) Strait. He attended school in the Eldora School District. On January 24, 1974, Rusty was united in marriage to Pauline Blackstock in Eldora, Iowa; they had resided in Eldora, Steamboat Rock and Marshalltown, Iowa. Rusty had worked most of his life in Construction. Rusty enjoyed working on cars and always had a good time at the Casino. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 42 years, Pauline, children, Gilbert( Sally Ritchie) Strait of Kansas and Belinda (Roberto Ramirez) Strait of Marshalltown, Iowa, grandchildren, Kendall, Alyssa, Nellie, Jordon, Noah, Connor and Ryan, siblings, George(Tami) Strait of Whitten, Iowa and Stan Strait of Hampton, Iowa. In death Rusty rejoins his parents, Standley and Geneva, brother, Bina Strait and sister, Glenda Garrett-Elliot
