Born Glenda Belle Treadway on August 20, 1932, in Toledo, Iowa, she was the daughter of Glenn and Vina (Eberhart) Treadway. After graduating in 1950 from Marshalltown High School, Glenda began her life showing others true compassion with an open heart. Glenda was united to the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Day on December 30, 1955, in Lancaster, Missouri. Together, they raised three beautiful children and gave them a loving home. Glenda was an immaculate homemaker; she loved being a mother and gave much of her life to her children. Bob and Glenda enjoyed traveling once Bob retired and their winters in Texas created a host of new friendships. Socializing and friendships meant the world to Glenda and she was always up for a good card game. Glenda is survived by her husband, Bob Day; her children Keitha (Randy) Flake, Rex (Janell) Day, and her daughter-in-law Connie Day; her grandchildren, Jill (Chad) Hollingsworth, Robert Cannon, Michael Day, Grant (Jessica) Day, Chandra Day, Beau Squires, and Anna Peters; as well as her great-grandchildren, Megan and Ashley Hollingsworth, Trenton Cannon, Harper Squires, and Cassious Peters. Glenda is reunited in heaven with her parents and her son, Ivan Day.
