Glenda Osgood, 63, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, with her loving husband by her side while under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Central Christian Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Glenda Lee Farmer was born on July 8, 1951, in Ft. Benning, Georgia. She was the daughter of James Earl and Revola Jean Whitmore Farmer. Glenda was an Army Brat and was very proud of her father, husband, and son for their service to their country. Glenda attended school in the Marshalltown School District, graduating with the class of 1969. On August 6, 1968, Glenda was united in marriage to Roger Lee Osgood at the Hillside Christian Church in Marshalltown. She and Roger lived in Marshalltown the majority of their married lives. Glenda worked at Sunflower, Spurgeons, and Osco Drug until their closing, then at Wells Fargo, and the last number of years at Lennox Credit Union. Glenda was a member of Central Christian Church (CCC), quilting and craft groups, Stampn Up Stamp Club, and CCC Disciples Women Fellowship. She enjoyed rubber stamping, reading, crafts, camping in her younger years, and serving in the Marshalltown Community. Glenda will be remembered as a person who encouraged others to grow in their faith, her loving nature, and ready smile. Left to cherish Glendas memory is her husband of 46 years, Roger; children: Todd (Melissa) Osgood of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Alan (Stephanie) Osgood of Marshalltown, Iowa; her precious grandchildren: Sarah, Ryan, and Hanna Osgood; siblings: Steve (Lori) Farmer of Brandon, Mississippi, and Joyce (Rich) Gralnek of Urbandale, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and cousins, and many other friends and family members. In death, Glenda rejoins her parents, Earl and Jean.
