Glendora Brown, 54, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown, Iowa surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Brown was born on June 7, 1962, in Marshalltown, Iowa; she was the daughter of Harold and Imogene (Borton) Brown. She attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District and received a Certificate of Completion in 1981. Glendora had lived with her parents until her declining health and she moved to State Center Nursing Center. While Glendora was in school she worked at MCC in the kitchen, she had been a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and loved to help at the Salvation Army, attended Home League and Camp Sunnyside, and would volunteer to help anyone and always enjoyed going to the House of Compassion to visit with others. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved eating at Taco Johns. She loved to call all her family at midnight on their birthday to wish them Happy Birthday. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Imogene Brown of Marshalltown, Iowa, siblings, Keith (Amelda Miller) Clapsaddle of Des Moines, Iowa, Harold (Jana) Brown of Albion, Iowa, Russell (Candi) Brown of Marshalltown and Lisa (Mike) Vajgert of Marshalltown and nieces, nephews, Karen Rockne, Amy Zeman, Dusty Brown, Heather Dostal, Rusty Brown, Nick Brown, Gina Frost, Carter Brown, Jennie Stackhouse, Kevin Stackhouse, her church family, and a host of friends. In death Glendora rejoins her father, Harold, nephew, Curtis Stackhouse, brother-in-law, Chris Stackhouse and great-nephew, Kevin Stackhouse Jr.
