Glenn Harold Fisher, 95, of 610 West Main, Marshalltown, Iowa, died February 17, 2007 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Jim Hartman officiating. There will be no visitation. Born on July 22, 1911in Virginia, Illinois, he was the son of Perry H. and Lena M. (Plummer) Fisher. On March 2, 1935, he was united in marriage to Lillian Kupfer in Springfield, Illinois. They made their home in Springfield, IL, Nashville, Tennessee, Newton, IA, Chicago, IL, Marshalltown, Des Moines, and retired in Rogers, Arkansas. He was employed as a lineman at Bell Telephone, Hummer Manufacturing, Aladdin Manufacturing in Nashville, TN, as a plant manager, and the corporate offices at Lennox in Des Moines, IA, where he setup the corporate parts center, and later retired. He enjoyed fishing and working, playing Bridge, and loved to golf. He attended Lake Side Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas. Left to mourn his loss are his daughter, Paula (Royal) Young of Union, IA; grandchildren: Gregory (Kristine) Young of Albion and Lisa Anne Young of Des Moines; and great-grandchildren: Ashlen and Adisyn Young. In death he has rejoined his loving wife, Lillian, his parents, and brother, Byron.
