Glenn Patterson

Glenn Mike Patterson, 61, of Marshalltown, passed away on May 11, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. A graveside service for Mike will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014, in the Gilman Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Mike was born on November 3, 1952, to Ward and Marilyn (Foley) Patterson. He received his education in Gilman, Iowa, and graduated from SEMCO High School. Mike was an amazing handyman and worked in many capacities during his life including concrete work, and construction work. In his free time, Mike enjoyed fishing and art work. Left to cherish Mikes memory are his special friend, Charlene Burns; his children, Hollie (Joel) Rodriguez, Tyler (Stephanie) Shipley, Cory (Sarah) Dostal, and Erin (Brandon) Hankins; several grandchildren; his mother, Marilyn; and his brother, Paul Patterson. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ward Patterson.
