Goldie Stanton, 51, of Tama, died early Thursday morning, December 26th, in the peace of her home with her family at her side. A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at the Eagles Club in Tama, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Goldies name to her brother Frank Stanton located in Fremont, Iowa, PO Box 171, 52561. Born Goldie Lynn Stanton on May 21, 1962, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Frank and Betty (Osgood) Stanton. She received her education in the area of her birth. Goldie was employed for many years in management of the KFC in Marshalltown, Times-Republican and also worked at the Mesquaki casino in Tama. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: McKenzie Shattuck and Lashae Stanton Her precious grandsons Nathan and Keegan, her siblings: Sherri (Vince) Ferraro of Palmyra, VA, David (Gloria) Stanton of Marshalltown, Judy (Glen) Ferch of Whitten, Mark Stanton, Anthony (Carol) Stanton of Toledo, Sheila (Garry) Claytor of Des Moines, Frank (Sherrie) Stanton of Fremont, many nieces, nephews and her step-sister Lorena (Mark) Hefflon of Tama, step-brother Buck Ferneau of Tama and step-mother Elaine Ferneau of Tama.
