Gregory Allen Atcher, of Albertville, MN, formerly of Marshalltown, left to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 18, 2012. A MemorialVisitation will be held at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In Greg's honor, the family is asking that his guests be in casual dress only. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed tohis family for the children's trust fund.Greg was born on October 18, 1971, in Marshalltown, the youngest son of Delbert and Helen (Ceaser) Atcher. He received his primary education in the Green Mountain Public Schools and graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 1990. He then attended Marshalltown Community College and graduated in 1992. Greg married Susan Matthias of Bloomington, MN in 1996, thoughlater divorced they brought three beautiful children into the world: Katherine, Caroline and Cameron. Gregory was most recently employed by Cambria Quartz Surfaces in Plymouth, MN. He will be fondly remembered for his love of his children and family. A born outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV riding, collecting John Deere tractors and JD tractor toys. Greg was really a kid at heart and able to make anyone laugh at any time. He had the ability to sit down and figure anything out and make it work. In addition to his children and their mother, Susan, left to cherish his memory are his parents Delbert and Helen Atcher, brothers Steven and Pamela (Fouch) Atcher and their children, Joshua and Jessica of Marshalltown and Donald and Regena (Chambless) Atcher and their son, Nicholas of Marshall, MN., grandmother Eleanor Ceaser of Grinnell and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Greg was preceded in death by an infant daughter, grandparents Oakley and LaVera Atcher and Grandpa Sam Ceaser.
