Gregory Scarborough, 61, of New Hartford, died Thursday, April 12, in the peace of his daughters home in Marshalltown and in care of the Iowa River Hospice. Born on July 3, 1950, in Waterloo, Iowa, he was the son of Norman III and Betty Jane (Butler) Scarborough. He graduated from the Waterloo East High School and served our country in the United States Army in Viet Nam. Gregory was employed in woodworking and was a handyman and was known as the Duct Tape King. He enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycles and woodworking. Surviving are his children: Jessica Sternhagen of Marshalltown, Kimberly Scarborough of State Center and Jeremy Scarborough of Waterloo, seven grandchildren, his siblings: Toni Scarborough of Milwaukee, Buddy (Rose) Scarborough of Dunkerton, Lance Scarborough of Algona, Sue Kyker of Des Moines, Jan (Gene) Niedermann of Dunkerton, his Ex-wifes: June Billington and Sherry Horner He is preceded in death by his parents.
