Gustavo Carrillo Garcia, 59, of Marshalltown, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services for Gustavo will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Gustavo Carrillo Garcia was born on September 28, 1963 in Valle de Santiago, Mexico to Jose Carrillo Nava and Maria Isabel Garcia Lopez. In 1996, Gustavo was united in marriage to Juana Sarabia de Carrillo in Marshalltown. He had worked at JBS for 26 years, and he never missed work and was a very hardworking man. Gustavo enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and always made the time to call and check on them. He also enjoyed cook-outs, fishing and gardening.

Gustavo is survived by his wife of 26 years, Juana; children: Nancy Carrillo of Muscatine, Elizabeth (Derek Allen) Carrillo of Muscatine and Gustavo Carrillo Jr. of Marshalltown. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alex, Edith, Emilly, Michelle, Mia, Sherlyn, Anthony, Krystal, Deric, Aubree and Melina and his siblings: Salvador, Guillermina, Emilio and Armando as well as daughter-in-law, Gabriela Silva.

Gustavo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria and his daughter, Maria Carrillo.
