Guy Richard Bown, 51, passed away on October 2, 2026.

Guy was born to Larry Richard and Diane Lynn Brandt Bown on September 29, 1975, in Iowa City, Iowa.

A man who enjoyed working with his hands, Guy spent much of his life working in construction, fishing, and working on cars. He also had a softer side and loved to cook.

Guy is survived by his mother, Diane Brandt Bown; his children, daughter Ashlie Hessenius (Chase), son Brandon Bown, daughter Haylie Gardner (Trey), and daughter Jaycie Bown; his grandchildren, Brinley and Malakai; his brother, Jared Bown; and his sister, Rachel Underwood.He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bown.

A family-led celebration of life will be held.
