Gwen Graw, 70 of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the University Of Iowa Hospital Clinics with her family surrounding her.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2017, at St Mary Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Gwen Ann Ricketts was born on August 8, 1947, in Ft Dodge, Iowa; she was the daughter of Kenneth and Elizabeth (Freeseman) Ricketts. Gwen attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District graduating with the class of 1965, and attended Fort Dodge Community College for 2 years. On March 5, 1966, Gwen was united in marriage to Jerry Graw at St Mary Catholic Church in Marshalltown. They lived their entire married lives in Marshalltown where Gwen worked at Marshalltown Hospital in many positions for over 50 years. She was a member of the Quilting Guild and St Henry Catholic Church. Gwen enjoyed working in her flower garden, loved to quilt, and always had project in the works as she loved to sew. She and Jerry would attend as many of the kids and grandchildren’s events as she loved them all. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Jerry; children, Jeff Graw, Rick Graw, and Stacy(Kevin) O’Hare all of Marshalltown and Matt Graw of Ankeny, Iowa; grandchildren, McKaylee(Tyler) Heuton, Nathan Graw, Emerson Graw, Ryker Graw, Kyzer Graw, Brandon(Steph) O’Hare, Caroline(Todd)Dunivant, Colleen(Cape) Zern, Mitchell O’Hare, and Bennett O’Hare; and great grandchildren, Presley Heuton, Carter Zern, Cooper Zern, Lula Dunivant, and Cash Dunivant; Gwen’s brother Kent Ricketts of Marshalltown, and many cousins and friends. In death Gwen rejoins her parent, Kenneth and Elizabeth. Gwen’s smile and care for others will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
