They made Marshalltown their home all of their married lives where he owned and operated Scott Tent and Awning for 45 years. Hans had also worked at KIOWA and Lennox.      It was a good day when he could spend it camping or working, he loved his job. It was a great day when he could do those with family and friends involved. He loved to talk to people and share time with them. In recent years, he enjoyed riding his bike and even some Zumba.      Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Michelle (Jeff) Daggett of Marshalltown and son Rodney Beecken of Marshalltown; grandsons- Jared (Sara) Daggett of Marshalltown and Jacob (Kristina) Daggett of St. Anthony; great-children- Jordyn, Madisyn, Jacksyn and Jace; his mother-in-law Virginia Slifer of Marshalltown;  two sisters Annagrete (Harold) Nicke and Mauren (John) Wrage in Germany, numerous nieces and nephews in Germany and the United States, sisters-in-law- and brother-in-law David (Sue) Slifer, Tina Roberts, Lynette (Curtis) Miller and Melinda (Craig) Wolken all of Marshalltown as well as many friends.      In death, he rejoined his beloved wife of nearly 54 years, Barb, his parents, sisters-in-law Debbie Briggs and Claudia (Willy-his best friend) Backhaus and father-in-law Claude.
