Harriett Lou Keith, 79, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare in Marshalltown. Services for Harriett will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Harriett and her family. Harriett Schultz was born on November 25, 1936 in Ackley, Iowa to Louis and Hattie Willems Schultz. She was raised and educated in the country schools and graduated from Ackley High School. She went on to get her nursing diploma from Allen Hospital in Waterloo and her Bachelors of Health from St. Francis. Harriett was united in marriage to David Bernard Bing Keith on February 27, 1960 in Ackley. She enjoyed genealogy, going to garage sales, crafts, watching Iowa State basketball, sewing and always doing things for others. Harriett was also a member of the LDS Church. Harriett is survived by her children: Mary (Earl) Dennis of Richmond, Virginia, Steven Keith of Gilman and Kay Couts of LeGrand. Grandchildren: Jeff Dennis, Karen (Joe) Scalera, Michael (Shanna) Dennis, Eric (Kelsey) Dennis, Kevin (Christiana) Dennis, Aaron (Amber) Keith and Ciera Keith. Great grandchildren: Katilyn Dennis, Marshall Scalera, Phoebe Dennis, Evelyn Dennis, Ruby Dennis, Nora Dennis, Ellie Dennis, Noelle Keith and new born Baby Keith as well as another on the way. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and other family members. Harriett is preceded in death by her husband Bing, parents Louis and Hattie, great-grandsons Zachary Keith and Brady Dennis, brother Raymond Bud Schultz, and sisters Lillian Meester and Lillian Sister Schultz.
