Hazel I. (Mrs. Mike) Paglia, 84, of Albion, died Friday evening, April 4th, at her home while in care of the Iowa River Hospice. Her death came peacefully with her loving family at her side. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9th, at the E-Free Church, 3111 South 6th Street, Marshalltown, with Pastor Bob Kosbau officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph 641-844-1234. Born Hazel Idella Ramsey on April 9th, 1923, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Charles and Idella (Steveson) Ramsey. On July 2nd, 1938, she was united in marriage to Mike Paglia. She was employed at Fareway Stores and later retired from Iowa Light and Power in 1985. Hazel will be fondly remembered for her love of family, babies, kittens, fishing at Circle Lake in Minnesota, plants, and winters in Arizona, TV and having visitors. She will be greatly missed by many.Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Mike, her daughter Rose Mulstay of Albion, her dear grandchildren: Mike (Laurie) Weatherly of Albion, Penny (Doug) Weatherly of Marshalltown, Pam (Jim) Klinefelter of Marshalltown, Kip (Tara) Weatherly of Albion, and Amy Mulstay of Phoenix, AZ, her precious great-grandchildren: Josh Vranish of Iowa City, Jil Weatherly of Albion, Nick Weatherly of Ogden, Utah, Tia Weese of Waterloo, Cole and Tony Weatherly of Albion and great-great-grandchildren Angela and Amiaha Weatherly of Albion, the Paglia family and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. To meet her in Heaven were her parents, her daughter Charleene, grandson Allen Woods, sister and brother-in-law Helen and Johnny Johnson, brother and sister-in-law James and Lorraine Ramsey, nephews Alan Ramsey and Arland Ray Hambrick, sisters-in-law Margaret Bachel, Catherine Nelson and Darlene Paglia, brother-in-law Greg Paglia,and her aunts and uncles.
