Helen Irene Curley

Helen Irene Curley, 70, of Marshalltown, died early Friday morning, February 29th, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4th, at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel. Following cremation rites, she will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery. She received her GED in 1986. On March 24th, 1969, she was united in marriage to Bill Curley. They resided in Marshalltown where she was employed at the MMSC, PCA, a bowling alley and enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, motorcycling, crossword puzzles but especially treasured her family. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Marian (Robert) Buchanan of Marshalltown, Virginia (Brian) Warner of Pflugerville, TX, Gordon (Nanette) Snyder of Lubbock, TX, Allen Snyder of Marshalltown, CW4 Tim (Kim) Newton of Ft. Bragg, NC, Cindy (Jim) Cruzan of Maxwell, NE and Billie Jean (Kit) Curley of Marshalltown, 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, her sister Blanche Greene of Conrad, brothers Lawrence Conrad of Varna, IL and Clifford Conrad of Galesburg, IL. In death she has rejoined her parents, husband Bill, brothers Bill and Bob Conrad, sister Stella and sons Larry and Rick.
