Henrietta Henri Hunter passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at home.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Phone 641-844-1234.Born on June 20, 1927, in Marshalltown at her grandparents home located at 107 North 1st Ave., she was the daughter of Henry and Marian L (Cober) Vahrenwald. She graduated from the Proviso High School in Des Plaines, IL. in 1945. Henrietta was married to Thomas W. Hunter, Jr. She resided in Marshalltown where she was employed at Strand Baking and was a member of the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church. She treasured her family, loved to sing in the choir and quoting poetry.Left to cherish her memory are her children whom her life was devoted- Kenneth (Carol) Hunter of Havelock, NC, Carole (Rodger) McKinney of Wiota, Iowa, Jan (the late Kenneth) Doser of St. Anthony, Steven (Diane) Hunter of Marshalltown; 13 precious grandchildren- Kenny, Tim, Kim, Beth, Mike, Casey, Megan, Matt, Christina, Chad, Nic, Luke and Dillon, 19 great-grandchildren, and her sister Beverly (Edwin) Johnson in Florida.In death Henrietta rejoined her parents, son-in-law Kenneth Doser, infant brother, and sisters Odette Adams and Orvetta Pukacz.
