Hope Bryant, 88, formerly of the rural Melbourne and Van Cleve, Iowa, area, currently residing at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa, died there Tuesday, December 18, 2012, surrounding by her loving family. Funeral services for Hope will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Hope and her family.Hope was born April 11, 1924, in rural Gilman, Iowa, area the daughter of Joseph and Maude (Pickering) Paul. She was raised and educated in rural Gilman and graduated from the Gilman High School. Hope was united in marriage to Bill Bryant on March 6, 1943, at Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and to this union two sons were born. Following their marriage Hope and Bill farmed in the rural Melbourne and and Van Cleve, Iowa, area for over thirty-five years. Hope was a private person by nature and enjoyed spending time at her home with her family. Bill and Hope enjoyed many good years of camping in their motor home and boating at Lake Rathbun. Hope is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Bill Bryant, of Coralville, her two sons; Barry A. (Sue) Bryant of Marshalltown, Iowa and Paul (Sharon) Bryant of Coralville, Iowa, her two grandchildren: Jana Bryant and Shari Bryant. Hope was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Floyd Paul and Lawrence Paul and her grandson Jeremy Bryant.
