Ian Vazquez

Ian Gael Vázquez, amado hijo pequeño de Yonatan Miguel Vázquez y Bianca Maritza Reyes, falleció el 29 de agosto de 2026. Nació el 2 de abril de 2026 en el Hospital Mary Greeley en Ames, Iowa.

Aunque su tiempo con su familia fue breve, Ian trajo una inmensa alegría y luz a sus vidas. Era un bebé feliz, recordado con cariño por su gran risa y la hermosa manera en que se comunicaba y conectaba con sus padres. Ian tenía un gran apetito y le encantaba ver a Payaso Plim Plim en la televisión. Como su único hijo querido, Ian era el absoluto centro de su mundo.

Además de sus amorosos padres, Yonatan y Bianca, Ian deja a sus abuelos maternos, Miguel Reyes y Rosa María Banda; sus abuelos paternos: Lucero y Miguel Vázquez; a su madrina y tía Kennia Reyes; y a muchos otros tíos y tías.

Se llevará acabo una visitacion el Domingo, 6 de septiembre de 5 a 8 PM en la Casa Funeraria de la Familia Mitchell, con un rosario comenzando alrededor de las 7:00 PM. La misa de cuerpo presente será el martes 8 de septiembre a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica San Francisco de Asís: San Enrique. Será enterrado en el Cementerio Riverside. La familia amablemente pide a todos que vistan ropa blanca durante la visitacion y el rosario. Siguiendo los deseos de la mama, se anima a los invitados a usar las camisetas blancas que la familia está ofreciendo en Facebook.

Ian Gael Vazquez, beloved infant son of Yonatan Miguel Vazquez and Bianca Maritza Reyes, passed away on August 29, 2026. He was born on April 2, 2026 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa.

Though his time with his family was brief, Ian brought immense joy and light into their lives. He was a happy baby, remembered fondly for his great laugh and the beautiful way he communicated and connected with his parents. Ian had a hearty appetite and loved to watch Payaso Plim Plim on TV. As their cherished only child, Ian was the absolute center of their world.

In addition to his devoted parents, Yonatan and Bianca, Ian is survived by his maternal grandparents: Miguel Reyes and Rosa Maria Banda; his paternal grandparents: Lucero and Miguel Vazquez; his godmother and aunt Kennia Reyes; and many other aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 6th from 5-8 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning around 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 8th at St. Francis of Assisi: St. Henry Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. The family kindly asks everyone to wear white attire during the visitation and rosary. In keeping with the mother’s wishes, guests are encouraged to wear the white T‑shirts the family is offering on Facebook.
