Isaac Lathrop

Isaac Gene Lathrop, age 35, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Intensive Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from complications of a life-long battle of diabetes. A public graveside service for Isaac will be held on Sunday, August 30 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Center School Cemetery in Marshalltown. A family led celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30 at the reunion hall at Riverview Park in Marshalltown following the burial. Attendees are encouraged to wear blue for diabetes awareness. Isaac was born July 21, 1985 to Harold Lathrop and Deb Campbell in Marshalltown and lived here all his life.  Isaac leaves behind two sons, Isaiah-6 and Elijah-4, his mom, Deb Campbell, grandpa Gene Steelman.  His brothers are Zachary, Jacob, Andy and Jason- sisters are Cecelia, Cortney, Jessica, Gabrielle, Tina and Melissa and their spouses.  Isaac had many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harold Lathrop, brother Todd and grandparents.  Isaac’s great joy was his children and his nieces and nephews.  He was loved by his family and will always live in our hearts.
