Isidro Garcia, Jr.

Isidro Garcia, Jr., age 28, of Marshalltown, died March 8th, in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.           A memorial gathering and time of sharing memories will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Ph. 641-844-1234 .           Born on November 19th, 1989, in Greeley, Colorado, he was the son of Glenda Herrera and Isidro Garcia, Sr.  He attended school in Marshalltown community schools and received his diploma. He was employed in construction and clean up. Isidro enjoyed working out and weight lifting. He was a defender of others and enjoyed basketball, fishing, Mexican rap music, BBQ’s, and treasured time with his family. His smirk will not be forgotten!           Left to mourn his loss are his mom, Glenda Herrera of Marshalltown, his dad Isidro Garcia, Sr., a pastor in Mexico; his siblings- Melissa Martinez in North Carolina, Albert Martinez of El Paso, TX, Ruben Martinez of Marshalltown, Michael Martinez and Crystal Garcia both of Marshalltown, a nephew whom he was very close- Vincente Ortega; daughter Estella Garcia of West Odessa, TX and many other relatives and friends.           In death, Isidro rejoined his grandparents.
