Jack Klar

Jack Klar, age 64, of Marshalltown, passed away Monday morning, May 18th, at the UnityPoint Health Marshalltown.           In honoring his wishes, no services will be held at this time. Ph. 641-844-1234.           Born on July 30th, 1955, in Marshalltown, he was one of four boys born to Cecil and Lila (Maynard) Klar. He graduated from the Marshalltown High School; Jack was employed by the City of Marshalltown and later the Iowa Veterans Home in the dietary department.           On August 18th, 1978, he married the love of his life, Hazel Diller Sawyer. They made their home in Marshalltown all of their married lives.           Left to cherish his memory are Hazel, his loving wife of 41 years; three children- Jenny Sawyer (John Litscomb) of Garland, TX, Jamie (Dave) Morris of Fredericksburg, Maryland and Jeremiah Klar at home; two grandchildren; brother Tom of Crystal Springs, FL, and sister-in-law Arvella of Marshalltown.           In death, Jack rejoined his parents and two brothers.
