Jacky Leanord Rouse, 72, of Garwin, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home. Funeral services for Jack will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Jack was born on October 28, 1942 in Green City, Missouri to Harold and Edith Fetters Rouse. On June 6, 1960, Jack was united in marriage to Linda Rae Davidson in Faribault, Minnesota. Jack and Linda resided in Boone, the Marshalltown area and in LeGrand. Jack retired from Lennox Industries after 44 years and was a member of the UAW. He had many good memories and made many friends. Jacks family was most important to him. He would always say that whichever daughter was closest to him was his favorite. He was a jack of all trades, loved his dog Maizey, played cards, loved to give rides on his Rhino, mushroom hunting, hunting, farming and carpentry. Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda; children: Lisa Rouse (George) Naughton of Lewisville, Texas, Dana Bailey of Melbourne, Tina (Jeff) Salm of Iowa City, Gina (Nick) Vogel of Marshalltown, and Tara (Jarrod) Ulery of LeGrand; grandchildren: Jamie Bailey, Brittany Iverson, Justin Bailey, Brooke Dannen, Alex Naughton, Blair Ulery, Samantha Naughton, Logan Vogel, Emily Naughton, Eliza Ulery, Brady Ulery and Reece Vogel; great grandchildren: Kinlee Bailey, Maximus Dannen and Myles Dannen; siblings: Veleta (Walt) Tintjer, Leota (Sam) Giarranto and Norm Rouse; and nieces and nephews who always stood by his side. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Edith Rouse; sister, Leta (Howard) Peterson and family; brother, Lavern Rouse; brother-in-law, Marvin Stubbs; granddaughter, Morgan Vogel and nephew, Scott Waterman. JACK WAS SO LOVED! In lieu of flowers, the family would like to carry on Jacks legacy of caring for his family by taking his memorials and setting up a fund for his grandsons Maximus Jacky and Myles Dean Dannen who were recently diagnosed with MPS4, an enzyme deficiency disorder.
