Jack Schrafel, 80, of Albion, Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa, surrounded by his loving family.Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until service time at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Albion Fire Department in Albion, Iowa. Jack Leigh Schrafel was born on March 1, 1938, in Marshalltown, Iowa; he was the son of Joseph and Virginia (Ellis) Schrafel. He attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District and graduated with the class of 1956. Jack was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Jack was united in marriage to Esther Sloat and they were blessed with three children, Kim, Terry and Kelly they later divorced and he was married to Eva Clark and she brought two children in to the family, Randy and John. He had lived in Marshall County his entire life. He worked at Cooper Manufacturing for 20 plus years until retirement. He was a member of the Local UAW #893, Albion Fire Department and had helped with 4-H for a number of years. Jack loved to collect trains, toys and loved his horses, but his family was the most important.  Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kim Davis of Marshalltown, Terry (Barb) Schrafel of Cedar Rapids and Kelly Schrafel of Pensacola, Florida, Bobby Jo(Cory) Machado of Idaho, step-sons, Randy and John Clark, grandchildren, Kyle Davis, Kasey Davis, Jared(Ashley) Schrafel, Matthew(Alyssa) Schrafel, Joseph Pittman, Alexis Schrafel, Nathan Clark and Keeley Clark and Jordan and Deacon Machado, great-grandchildren, Ashton Davis, Braeden Davis, Margarett Davis, Alice Davis and Emmi Schrafel, sister, Linda(Jerry) of Pensacola, Florida and Jacks faithful companion, Abby the dog.  In death Jack rejoins his parents, Joseph and Virginia Schrafel and his wives, Esther and Eva.
