Jack Stansberry, 62, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the evening of December 15, 2022 at his home.


A family led celebration of life for Jack will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the National Guard Armory in Marshalltown from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Memorials in Jack’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation. Jack Lee Stansberry was born on September 28, 1960 to parents Jerry and Bonnie (Hawkins) Stansberry in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the youngest of four children. Jack attended school in Marshalltown, Iowa and would later receive his GED. Jack enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country until the time he was honorably discharged. He was also a member of the Air National Guard.


On October 13, 1990, Jack was united in marriage to the love of his life Lori Clark. Together they called Marshalltown home and began a family of their own raising their four children, Josh, Jim, Jeri, and Sharissa. Jack was a hard worker and was employed at Emerson in Marshalltown as a machinist in their factory. He looked forward to his upcoming retirement in June 2023.


In his free time, Jack enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle, going to the Marshalltown Speedway every Friday night in the summer to watch the dirt track races, as well as watching races on FloRacing and IMCA TV, always keeping busy with his various projects, frequenting his favorite food spots; B-Bops and Texas Roadhouse and building model cars. He was known for his personality of never knowing a stranger. Most importantly he loved his family and loved them more than anything.


He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lori Stansberry; his children, Josh (Gina Hassett) Stansberry, Jim (Sarah) Stansberry, Jeri (Quintin) Striker, and Sharissa (Connor) Johnson; his siblings, JoAnn (Harold) Rice, Judy Stansberry, Linda Wagner and Jim Pfantz; grandchildren: Madison, Landon, Maddox, Jayde, Noah, Caleb, Elias, Ellie, Ben, and Jordan (on the way)and great grandson: Adam. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Diana Clark; his best friend who he viewed like his own brother, Lonnie Hogeland; his niece, Summer (Henry) Lai and their children Ila and Vada and his other niece Chelsea Clark and her son Ty.


He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Bonnie Stansberry, his father-in-law Jerry Clark and his grandparents.
