Jack J. Williams, 43, of Marshalltown, died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services were held July 1st at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008 at New Life United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Rick Streeter officiating. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Jack and his family.Jack Jay Williams was born on June 29, 1965 in Marshalltown to Keith and Lillian (Borton) Williams. He was educated in the Marshalltown school system, and he was a life-long resident. In the past, Jack had worked at the Times Republican in the mail room and then in the press room along with his brother, Roy. He enjoyed fishing, playing many different card games with his family, hunting for morel mushrooms, and playing slot machines at the casino.Jack is survived by his three children, Kirk Williams, Holly (Ben) Nablo, and Danny Williams; his2 grandchildren; his brothers, Ora (MaryAnn) Williams, Russell (Shirley) Williams, and Roy (Teresa) Williams; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Keith, in 2004 and a nephew in 1991.
