Jackson B. Forehand

Jackson B. Forehand Jr., 62, of Marshalltown, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Villa del Sol Care Center of cancer. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family. He was born May 6, 1945 in San Antonio, TX, and was the son of Della and Jackson B. Forehand, Sr. In May 1965 he married Sheryl Smith and they later divorced. In June 1970 he married Linda A. Smith and they later divorced. In October 1, 1977 he married Linda K. Callaway. Jack attended high school in San Antonio, TX, later moving to Marshalltown to be with Aunt Vi and Grandma. He worked as a mechanic and a molder for many years. He had a passion for driving race cars in earlier years. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and was a friend and surrogate uncle to many. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda K. Forehand of Marshalltown; 6 children and one step-son: son Jack (Jo) Forehand of Beaman, son David Forehand of Marshalltown, daughter Sara Lloyd of Colorado, daughter Val (Kendall) Rhoads of Grundy Center, daughter Dawn Hippen and friend Jim of Grundy Center, son Brian (Janell) Forehand of Grundy Center, and step-son Steve Prusha of Marshalltown; 17 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one step-brother and a grandson.
