Jacqueline Jackie Kenner, 76, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday afternoon, February 5th, at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston with her family at her side. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 10th, at St. Henrys Catholic Church with Fr. Don Czapla officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born on August 5th, 1937, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Josephine Curley. She graduated from St. Marys High School in 1955. On November 10th, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ralph Kenner at St. Marys Catholic Church. They made their home in Marshalltown where she was employed at Fisher Controls and then raised her family. Later, she worked for DHS/ Iowa Workforce Development at the Wolfe Building. Jackie enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, cardinals and treasured her family. Left to cherish her memory are four children: Jeff Kenner of Grimes, Carey Kenner of Marshalltown, Chris (Toni) Kenner of Johnston and Cathy Kenner-Carkhuff (Max) of Marshalltown, five grandchildren- April Stanley of Marshalltown, Christine (Cody) Alberts of Urbandale, Mary Beth Kenner (fianc Andy Zajicek) of Minneapolis, Carson Kenner and Cooper Kenner both of Johnston as well as four precious great-grandchildren. In death, Jackie rejoined her beloved Ralph who died in 1983 and her mother in 1994.
