Jaime Cantu

Jaime Cantu, age 57, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the UPH- Iowa Methodist Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Per Jaime and his family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no formal services have been scheduled at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Jaime Cantu was born on August 2, 1968 in Traverse City, Michigan. He was the son of Frank and Belia (Menchaca) Cantu. Jaime attended Algona High School and graduated with the class of 1986. After his graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. On February 14, 2006, Jaime was united in marriage to Lori Bracy. For the last 15 years, Jaime was the owner and operator of C & C Bed Bug and Pest Control. He was a proud member of the American Legion and A.B.A.T.E of Iowa. Jaime was also a dedicated member of TC’s dart league. In his free time, Jaime enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and going to the shooting range with his son Bubba. He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan. In his early years, he enjoyed playing pool and later became passionate about darts. He spent many memorable hours at Pep’s with his bartending uncle, where he first learned the games, he would love throughout his life. He was honored to receive a Quilt of Valor in recognition of his service.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lori; his children: Allysha Clark of Emmetsburg and his son Jaime “Bubba” Cantu Jr. of Marshalltown; his siblings: Adela Cantu of New Orleans, LA., Bertha (Rufino) Tornez of Estherville, Maria (Zack) Clary of Des Moines, and Trista (Steven) Farmer of Humboldt; his maternal aunt, Martina; his paternal uncle, Fred; his aunts: Maria and Melba; his mother-in-law, Carol; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved pets Piper and Dexter.

Jaime is preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Belia; his grandparents; his uncles: Ruben, and Fermin Cantu; his maternal aunt Olga; and his cousin Rey Cantu.
