James Adams

James Raymond Adams, 66, of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his home and under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home and Professional Case Management.   Memorial services for James will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for James and his family.   James Adams was born on July 31, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Goldie Fossberg Adams. James graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in Engineering. On April 27, 2001, James was united in marriage to Mirles “Mia” Cristofolini in Marshalltown. James had worked for Fishers and retired in 2015. He enjoyed working on his old 1940 automobile as well as playing in his machine shop, neighborhood cookouts, yard work and was very proud of his Eagle Scout he obtained in his younger years. James especially enjoyed the time he spent with Mia and their yearly trip to Brazil to visit family and friends.   James is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mia as well as his sister Mary (Allen) Blase of Hordville, Nebraska and nephews, Travis Kolar and Marc Kolar, both of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.   James is preceded in death by his parents, John and Goldie.
