James Creason

James “Jim” Creason, 73, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames on the morning of Saturday, June 08, 2019.    A memorial visitation will be held for Jim on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Memorials in Jim’s name may be directed to the family. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Jim and his family.    James Creason was born on May 2, 1946 to parents Vernon and Hildred (Hines) Creason in the state of Missouri. He grew up in Missouri for a brief period of time before moving to Iowa with his family in 1955. Jim attended High School at Beaman-Conrad and graduated in the class of 1965. Although Jim never married, he had a family and friends who cared and loved him dearly. In his free time, you might find Jim spending time with his friends, showing off his sense of humor by joking around with his friends at the Odd Fellows apartments, or going to Taco Johns every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday.    Left to cherish his memory are his sister Jean Boone and brother Vernon (Rose) Creason; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend Dennis Paxson.    In death Jim rejoins his parents Vernon and Hildred Creason, both paternal and maternal grandparents, brother- in- law Mel Boone , sister Joan Hanlin, and nephew Terry Creas
