James Jim Quirk, 56, of Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Father Jim Miller officiating. Public visitation will be held from 9:00 am until services begin at 10:30 a.m., where Jims family will be present to greet friends. Memorial contributions may be directed in Jims name to his family. He was raised and educated in the Marshalltown school district. Jim enjoyed doing different jobs throughout his life including, mowing lawns in the summer and doing snow removal in the winter. He had a passion for reading, fishing, outdoors, walking, music and animals, especially his dogs; Duster and Baby. Left to cherish his memory are his three sisters; Sharon Leverette, LaDonna (Herb) Gotshall and Mary Savage; also many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Donald Quirk.
