James "Jim" Little

James “Jim” Little, age 75, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown.

Services for Jim will take place on Wednesday, April 23 at 10:00 A.M. at New Hope Christian Church with Pastor Kerry Jech officiating. A visitation will be held the hour prior beginning at 9:00 A.M. James Craig Little was born on February 12, 1950. He was the son of Dwight and Bea Little. After graduating from Marshalltown High School in 1968, he joined the United States Navy, honorably serving two tours in Viet Nam. Jim was united in marriage on December 22, 1984 to Dietta (Worsfold) at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Most of Jim’s life revolved around his love for cars. He spent most of his career in auto parts distribution, working at Arnold Motor Supply until 2015. A true gear-head at heart, he spent the majority of his free-time working on cars in his garage or watching NASCAR. Jim and Dietta enjoyed traveling together in their RV to see the races, including several trips to the Indianapolis Speedway. Jim also liked to kick back during social happy hours with friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 40 years, Dietta; his stepchildren: Jerry (Kimberley) Mchenry and Jim Mchenry; three granddaughters: Kelsey (Joseph), Kathleen and Megan; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Judy; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Bea; his mother-in-law and father-in-law and his brother-in-law, James Worsfold.
