Born on March 2, 1952, in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, she was one of four children born to James and Theda (Van Patter) Saigh. The family moved to Marshalltown where they lived above their family restaurant and she graduated from the Lenihan High School in 1970. Soon after, she attended Marycrest College in Davenport. Jana began a fulfilling and rewarding career at Hyatt Hotels as Director of Sales and Catering, first in Des Moines and then Milwaukee. Her enthusiasm was acknowledged by her employers by establishing Jana Saigh Day. Her last employment was with the Marriott in Racine, Wisconsin. Her heart was passionate about art of which she had an eye and ability that she shared with her mother, Theda. She gifted many family members and friends with her art over the years. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas because she could be with all of her family. Left to celebrate her life are her siblings: Tobi (Brian) Greene of Marshalltown, James Craig (Jean Ann) Saigh of Omaha, and Marty (Pam) Saigh of Mankato, Minnesota, her nieces and nephews: Chad (Mary) Greene of Marshalltown, Chris (Angie) Greene of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Lisa (John) Nemer of Brooklyn, New York, Quinn Saigh of Sioux City, AJ (Missi) Saigh of Singapore and Paul (Michelle) Greene of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, eight great-nieces and nephews, her devoted companion Igee, work colleagues and many friends. In death, Jana rejoined her parents and great-nephew Westley Greene.
