Jane Ann Boyle

October 12, 1951 — November 16, 2021

Jane Ann (Foster) Boyle, age 70, left this earthly life on November 16, 2021, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Jane's strong faith in her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, motivated her to serve Him every day. During Jane's twenty year battle with Parkinson's Disease, she was focused on the truths of the Bible knowing her eternal home in Heaven would soon come.  Jane was born October 12, 1951 in Webster City, Iowa to Gordon and Flora Lea (Rogers) Foster. Most of her growing up years were in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Jane graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1969, and from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge earning an Associate of Arts degree in 1971. She attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. Jane met Greg Boyle at a church youth event and they were married on July 10, 1971, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. God blessed Jane and Greg with two sons, Shaun Daniel and Scott Alan. The family grew to include Shaun's wife Marybeth and their son Joshua, and Scott's wife Ciar and their daughter Harper.  In the couple's fifty years of ministry together, they served six Iowa churches in New Virginia, Marshalltown, Monroe, Indianola, Rockwell City, and Toledo. Jane was the office manager at the Iowa Regular Baptist Camp in Ventura, Iowa, where Greg served as Director. Jane also worked at the F.B.B.C. Library, Cerro Gordo County Public Health Department, Indianola Middle School as a teacher's associate and Administrative Assistant at the AEA 267 in Marshalltown until her retirement in October 2016.  While living in Ankeny, Jane continued being involved in church activities. She loved playing the piano and volunteered her time for services at three Bickford Cottage Assisted Living Homes. Her joy was being with her grandchildren and attending their activities. Jane is survived by her husband, Greg, sons Shaun (Marybeth) of Altoona, Iowa, and Scott (Ciar) of Clear Lake, Iowa, and grandson Joshua, and granddaughter Harper. Also surviving is sister Barbara (Jeff) Jerome of Sioux City, Iowa, two uncles Jack Foster of Arizona and Vern Foster of Webster City, Iowa, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jane is preceded in death by her parents.  Memorials made in her honor will be donated to the Iowa Regular Baptist Camp.  A visitation for Jane will take place on Thursday, November 18 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 19 at 11:00 A.M. at Community Baptist Church in Ankeny, with an additional visitation prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Friends and family are also invited to Union Cemetery in Humboldt, Iowa at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 20, where Jane will be laid to rest. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Jane and her family.
