Jane D. Kroener

Jane D. Kroener, 80, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Grandview Heights Nursing and Rehab Center. Visitation for Jane will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016, from 4:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. At 6:00 p.m. there will be an open time of sharing stories and laughter. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Jane and her family. Jane D. Youker was born on July 1, 1936, in rural State Center, Iowa; the daughter of Clell and Edna (Myers) Youker. She was raised and educated in the LaMoille school district. On March 24, 1952, Jane was united in marriage to, LeRoy Kroener. From this union five children were born: Lynn, Terry, Kristine, Marilee and Leisa. Jane was a hardworking woman, dedicating 33 years of her working career with Marshalltown Trowel before retiring. She was a proud member of the UAW and belonged to various bowling leagues. Jane had a passion for feeding and watching humming birds, bowling, gardening, cooking, farming, camping and horses. Her most prized possession was her family. Left to cherish Janes memory are her children: Kristine (Michael) Fruth of Redondo Beach, CA, Marilee Weatherman of Marshalltown, IA and Leisa Kroener of Marshalltown, IA; grandchildren: Dena, Daniel, Jennifer, Chad, Jared, Ashley, Ben, Cortney, Tasha, Trevor and Taya; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Lynde, Breanna, Levi, Landon, Evan, Breanna, and Severiano; siblings: Pat Kifer of State Center, IA and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; parents, Clell and Edna; two children: Lynn Luse and Terry Kroener; and brothers and sisters.
