Janell Mary Terrall

Janell Terrall (nee Beurskens) died at home at Freedom Square in Seminole Florida on May 2, 2026 at the age of 88.

Janell is survived by her daughter Sarah and son-in-law Gary of Tampa Florida and her brother Robert (Bob) Beurskens of Marshalltown Iowa. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas (Tom) her parents, Peter (Pete) and Marie Beurskens and siblings Marilyn Hoffman, James (Jim) Beurskens and Connie Beurskens.

Janell was born on November 19, 1937 in Dubuque Iowa to Pete and Marie Beurskens. The family moved to Marshalltown when Janell was 8 years old. In 1956 she graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Marshalltown and then earned an associate’s degree from Marshalltown Community College in 1958. She went back to school while working full-time and earned a degree in Business Administration from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1979.

Janell married Tom on April 26, 1969. They spent most of their working lives in Fort Dodge, Iowa summering at Lake Cornelia. After their retirement they moved to Parachute, Colorado and wintered in Tucson, Arizona. After Tom’s death in 2012, Janell moved to Seminole to be close to Sarah and Gary.

A private committal service will be held at a later date.
