Janice Thomas

Janice Thomas, 68, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Central Iowa Health Care in Marshalltown, Iowa. Services ran by the family will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 1:00 until 3:00 at Vineyard Christian Fellowship at 214 W Main Street in Marshalltown. Janice Rita Landt was born on March 16, 1947, in Marshalltown, Iowa; she was the daughter of Clarence and Deloris (Thorn) Landt. Jan attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District. In 1973 Janice was united in marriage to Robert Thomas in Marshalltown where they made their home. Jan had worked at the Tall Corn in Food service and The Villa and her last work was at Uncle Jacks for a number of years. She enjoyed her rides around the Marshalltown , her trips to the casino and above all was her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kendra Preston, Destry Mangan and Rochelle Thomas, grandchildren Robert Thomas, RJ Thomas, Tahchelle Thomas, Blake Thomas and Kimberly Preston, great-grandchildren, Tyquan, Xaynon Jayvohn, Izek, Ele, siblings, Craig Thorn, Dawn Mulinex, Terry Landt, Larry Landt and Jimmy Thorn, and her special friend , caregiver, Harvey Clark. In death Jan rejoins her parents, Clarence and Deloris, husband, Robert Thomas and grandmother, Edna Finley.
