Jay Thomasson

Jay Thomasson, 68, of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa passed away, on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery in Marshalltown. For condolences or questions please visit: www.mitchellfh.com. After graduating high school Jay served our country honorably in the United States Marine Corp from December, 1967 until June of 1975. Jay had worked at Maytag in Newton until his retirement. He enjoyed duck hunting and was a diehard CYCLONE fan. Left to remember Jay are his children, Eric and Terri Thomasson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jackie Ray Adkins of Mustang, Oklahoma, Jason, Thomasson of Fairbanks, Alaska, and John Fox of Marshallown, Iowa; grandchildren: Nelson Thomasson and Austin Arnett; siblings: Jan, Joy, Paula and Jamie. In death jay rejoins his parents, Roy and Mary and sister Pam.
