Jazmin Yamileth Reyes Raya

Jazmin Yamileth Reyes Raya, age 18, of Marshalltown, passed away near her home on Monday, July 8, 2019. Many hearts in the community are heavy after a long, devoted search by so many. The family respectfully thanks all who helped.          A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish-St. Mary Church, 9 West Linn Street in Marshalltown, with Fr. Alan Dietzenbach officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Center School Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, July 15th at the church with a 6:45 p.m. vigil service. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Jazmin and her family. Phone 641-844-1234.          Born on September 27, 2000, in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, she was one of four beautiful children born to Juan Gabriel Reyes Albitia and Rosa Elena Raya Alvarado. She had attended Marshalltown Senior High School.          Jazmin will be fondly remembered for her love of music, dancing and drawing. She loved her family, her dog - Daisy, and the colors pink and purple.          Left to cherish her memory is her parents, her sisters, Amy and Johanna and brother, Gabriel; her maternal grandparents, Miguel Angel Reye Cedilla and Laura Alvarado Ramirez and paternal grandmother, Consuelo Avitia Felix, as well as many other family and friends.          In death, she rejoined her grandfather, Jose Reyes Higuera.
